Go cinema hub

A space where film intertwines with visions and local heritage, creating new cinematic experiences through cross-border collaboration with numerous partners, extending beyond the traditional cinema halls. Outdoors, among ancient walls, under the stars, and on small screens, emerge stories that transcend boundaries. By hosting renowned film directors, through film education for the young, and preserving heritage, film becomes a bridge between generations and cultures.

With events such as the cross-border film festival Tribute to a Vision, the film season ticket for schools Kinomagnet, the traveling Kino Soča-Isonzo Cinema, the Silvan Furlan Open-Air Cinema, the International Youth Film Campus in Nova Gorica, and the TV show Contrasts (Slovenian programme of the RAI Regional Headquarters for Friuli Venezia Giulia), the Go Cinema Hub project brings film to every corner of our cross-border territory and connects us with the broader European film community.

  • Film experiences as bridges between cultures
Film transcends conventional boundaries, settling in urban stories, ancient settings, under the stars, and on small screens. By connecting local partners, the traveling Kino Soča-Isonzo Cinema and the Silvan Furlan Open-Air Cinema create innovative film experiences that link heritage with contemporary visions.
  • Young audience and the resonance of time between generations
Programs such as the TV show Contrasts, Kinomagnet, Slovenian Film Cycle with Italian subtitles, and the International Youth Film Campus bridge generational and cultural gaps. Young people gain knowledge in the field of cinema, audiences meet prominent authors, while film heritage is preserved and renewed for future generations.
  • Cross-border and European connection point
With events such as the cross-border film festival Tribute to a Vision and the Silvan Furlan Open-Air Cinema, we create a meeting point between the local and European film space, and moreover, by connecting with other film festivals (LIFFe – Ljubljana International Film Festival, Kino Otok – Isola Cinema, Sergio Amidei Award, Documentary Film Festival Dokudoc, Shorts International Film Festival (Trieste Short Film Festival), Le Giornate della Luce, Bovec Outdoor Film Festival (a festival combining films about nature, sports, and adventures held in Bovec, Slovenia). These collaborations build a network where film becomes a tool for spreading ideas, dialogue, and cooperation in the region and beyond.
