In 2021, the two umbrella organizations SKGZ and SSO entrusted the team of Kinoatelje with the organization of the central celebration of Slovenes in Italy for the Slovenian Cultural Holiday. The event, titled IMPRINTS OF LIGHT. Inside, lies all our life..., premiered online on Monday, February 8, 2021, at 7:00 PM live via Kinoatelje's YouTube channel. It was later broadcast on February 14 and 18 on the Slovenian Program of RAI Regional Headquarters for Friuli Venezia Giulia. The program was marked by the voice of the youth, directed by Leo Černic, with a keynote address by architect Vida Rucli.
Kinoatelje aims to highlight the richness and value of the audiovisual heritage of Slovenes in Italy, emphasizing the need to organize and appropriately appreciate it. Through moving images, people leave imprints of life. Every community, especially a minority one, cherishes its heritage. However, projecting into the future is a mature endeavor that must be carefully nurtured. It is simpler to rely on established traditions that seem reliable and enduring products of centuries. Yet, working for the future entails creating the new, reshaping, and transcending the existing heritage—a testimony and wealth of the past for every community. This heritage, however, is not a rigid framework but a springboard. Working for the future means creating a new tradition. Just as our ancestors forged their legacy, we too build for the future, crafting a new heritage that can be captured in the delicate yet lasting medium of film.
