Synopsis

This documentary serves as a diary, an intimate story that simply observes the daily life of the director and many inhabitants of the Gorizia area. It sketches a portrait of a territory striving to overcome its past, even though certain historical questions remain unresolved.

Director’s Statement

In a sense, this documentary doesn’t entirely belong to me: even though I filmed my family, friends, and acquaintances, used my own voice for the narration, and intentionally structured the direction as a family film, I aimed to restrict myself to merely observing real events and capturing them exactly as they are. After all, a documentary film should strive for this—to remain true to reality without the script typical of fiction films, faithfully mirroring the world as it unfolds.
