In December 2009, the second memory-sharing action took place in the former customs office at the border crossing between Nova Gorica and Gorizia. Residents of both cities were invited to browse through their family albums, select a few photographs taken in their city, and recall memories of those frozen moments on camera. Memory does not speak solely of the past but also of the present, directly connecting to the plans, visions, and fears we hold for the future. The future is born not only from specific memories but also from specific acts of forgetting.
