Go! Studio
Progetto dell’Unione europea del Fondo per piccoli progetti (Small Project Found) GO! 2025 del Programma Interreg VI-A Italia-Slovenia 2021-2027, gestito dal GECT GO.
The GO! STUDIO project – Strengthening cross-border capacities in the AV sector with young people for young people – represents an invaluable step forward in enhancing regional potential in both culture and the economy. The joint effort of partners, the University of Nova Gorica’s Academy of Arts and Kinoatelje, focuses on improving the quality and accessibility of education and practical opportunities for young people aiming to establish themselves in the world of audiovisual arts.
Our goal is to strengthen material and human resources in the cross-border region to create a supportive environment for young talents. Through the GO! STUDIO project, we are upgrading studio facilities, equipment, and lighting systems, enabling better conditions for education, creation, and production in film and animation. At the same time, we are implementing numerous training and mentorship programs that facilitate the transition from education to the job market, improving prospects for work and life in the region.
Our activities cover a broad range of training programs, including practical workshops for young authors and animators, training programs for film education mentors as well as professionals. A focus on lifelong learning and the development of critical thinking to achieve lasting impacts beyond the project’s scope, enriching the cultural and economic framework of the region.
At Kinoatelje, we will implement film and animation training programs under the guidance of experienced professionals, such as film education mentorship training, taking place during the international youth film camp in Nova Gorica and the Sergio Amidei Award Festival, and later as part of the Kinomagnet program in autumn 2024. Training for audiovisual support activities, combining lectures by esteemed mentors, field trips, hands-on practice, and collaboration with film festivals.
The GO! STUDIO project is not an isolated initiative but is closely connected to the comprehensive European Capital of Culture GO! 2025 program. Together, we support and complement projects such as Cinecittà – City of Film, contributing to their long-term impact and development. The project builds bridges between education, culture, and the economy, empowering young people to realize their dreams and contribute to the wealth of our community.
The GO! STUDIO project is funded by the European Union through the GO! 2025 Small Project Fund under the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia 2021-2027 program, managed by EGTC GO.
